What does being an APMP Fellow mean to you?
It's an honor to be included among the many leaders in our field - past, current, and those still to come. It's also a chance for me to give back to an association that has done a lot for my career.
What's your best memory from attending an APMP event?
My best memories have just been the connections and friendships I've made at each and every in-person event I've been fortunate enough to attend. Capture and proposal professionals are a very giving and friendly lot, and I have learned so much just by introducing myself and getting to know the folks that make up our community.
What advice do you have for a proposal professional entering our field?
Get involved in your local APMP chapter, attend online and in-person events, work on getting certified in your area(s) of expertise, and don't be afraid to reach out to other capture and proposal professionals for advice and mentorship.
Anything else you would like to share?
Stay passionate about your profession, make meaningful connections with your peers across the association, don't be afraid to ask for advice or help, and pay it forward for the folks just entering our field. APMP is a great association to build your network, advance your career, and make life-ling friends in the process.
